Driving Collaboration and Innovation: JCHK at CPTCON

At the Cyber Protection Team Conference (CPTCON), SealingTech showcased our Joint Cyber Hunt Kit to our user community and engaged with cyber protection teams.

The SealingTech team attended the 2026 Cyber Protection Team Conference to further deepen its understanding of the operational challenges CPTs face in the field.

As a 22-year US Air Force veteran, I’m proud to work for a company founded and built by veterans. Twenty-four percent of SealingTech’s team is comprised of former military service members and active members of the Reserve. Many of our team members have previously served on cyber protection teams (CPTs), giving us firsthand understanding of the challenges operators face in the field. Through our work at SealingTech, we help build cyber defensive hardware that elevates CPT capabilities, helping operators work more efficiently and effectively. Which is why it was important for us to participate in the Cyber Protection Team Conference (CPTCON) in Camp Murray, Washington last month.

Hosted by the Washington Air Guard’s 194th Wing, the event brought together military and cyber protection professionals to drive collaboration and innovation in the cyber defense realm. At CPTCON, we had a unique opportunity to showcase our Joint Cyber Hunt Kit (JCHK) to our user community and engage directly with CPTs, gaining real-time feedback on our innovation and strengthening ongoing collaboration between cyber operators and SealingTech.

Briefing JCHK

At CPTCON, SealingTech showcased its Joint Cyber Hunt Kit and engaged with CPTs on ways to strengthen Kit capabilities for future missions.

At CPTCON, SealingTech presented its Joint Cyber Hunt Kit, engaging with CPTs on ways to strengthen Kit capabilities for future missions.

On day one, Scott Adkins, SealingTech’s Director of Strategic Accounts, briefed approximately 180 Air Force Active Duty, National Guard, and Reserve CPT members on the current build of the Joint Cyber Hunt Kit including a baseline of its software.

They were excited to see the new technology integrated into the Kits: its processing power, storage capacity, and the AI at the edge capabilities of Operator X. Scott then prompted attendees to share what they liked about the Kit and what they would like to see included in future iterations. We’ve already brought back their feedback to our in-house research and development (R&D) team, where it will help shape future Kit integrations and ensure warfighters continue to play a direct role in the design solutions that support their mission success.

Operator X in Action

Over the next three days at CPTCON, Andres Giraldo, SealingTech Chief Technology Officer, presented multiple Operator X demonstrations, providing hands-on training to approximately 50 attendees comprised of CPTs and Air Force personnel.

Operators quickly became proficient and were able to run Operator X, our AI Hunt Kit Assistant LLM, entirely offline on the Kits we provided, simulating operations in a typical air-gapped environment.

After experiencing Operator X’s intuitive design and operational impact, cyber operators expressed a strong interest in integrating it into their current Kits. They particularly valued the ability to upload the Kit’s User Manual and query it in real time, allowing operators to quickly access deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting guidance, thus streamlining setup and improving overall response time and efficiency.

Shaping Future Mission Requirements

At CPTCON, we received an overwhelmingly positive response from the CPTs, along with several requests to get Operator X added to their Kit package. Incorporating the feedback from the conference, our R&D team continues to drive innovation by enhancing the current Joint Cyber Hunt Kit and integrating the latest and greatest capabilities into our hardware—ensuring it remains reliable, resilient, and fully supportive of the warfighter’s mission.

As cyber threats continue to evolve, the tools used by cyber defenders must evolve with them. The collaboration between CPT operators and industry partners like SealingTech ensures that deployable cyber capabilities remain mission-ready, adaptable, and built with direct input from the warfighters who rely on them every day.
