Strengthening Interoperability via Strategic Partnership in Romania

As cyber threats grow in sophistication across Europe and beyond, partnerships like the one between SealingTech and Romanian tech leader STARC4SYS are becoming mission critical. This joint initiative, launched in early 2025, is helping bolster defensive cyber capabilities across the Black Sea region and laying the groundwork for a stronger, more connected future.
At the heart of this relationship is a shared commitment to advancing interoperability and accelerating innovation. By combining SealingTech’s proven expertise in deployable cyber solutions like our Cyber-Fly-Away Kits with STARC4SYS’s deep regional insight and trusted relationships, this strategic collaboration is enabling both organizations to respond rapidly to emerging threats, support critical infrastructure, and empower joint defense initiatives in Romania and beyond.
Once the partnership began, we wanted to invest in this relationship and begin laying its foundation. So, when we learned that the STARC4SYS’s team was coming to California last February, we jumped at the chance to gain some face-to-face time and hammer out strategies how we’d work together.

Growing Our Partnership and Visibility at International Events
To expand our relationship and network, we sought out international events that we could do together with STARC4SYS. The experiences were invaluable and led to a better understanding of each other’s strengths and a chance to showcase SealingTech’s defensive capabilities with high-ranking officials thanks to STARC4SYS’s presence.
At NATO’s Cyber Center of Excellence conference (CyCon) hosted in Tallinn, Estonia in May, we met STARC4SYS’s Senior Account Manager and retired Romanian Navy Colonel, Neculai Grigore. The SealingTech team also toured STARC4SYS’s headquarters in Bucharest and discussed new opportunities to combine their level of cyber defense capability with our lightweight, modular Cyber-Fly-Away Kits to create an even stronger, united front throughout the region.

In June, we exhibited our Kits and AegisEdge MicroServers along with STARC4SYS at the Southeast Europe Special Operations Forces Forum (SEESOF) in Targu Mures, Romania. It was the first event in Romania dedicated exclusively to Special Operations Forces (SOF) and the largest defense exhibition organized outside its capital.
“Because of STARC4SYS sponsorship, expertise, and reputation, most of the attending Romanian General Officers came up to our booth including Sorin-Day Moldovan, Secretary of State and Head of the Department of Defense for Romania. We also got to brief the Commander of the US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), General Bryan P. Fenton, about our defensive cyber solutions. Having STARC4SYS by our side gave us instant credibility on the ground,” says Wade Saunders, SealingTech’s Foreign Sales Account Manager.
“At the SEESOF event we hosted, it was a privilege for STARC4SYS to welcome the SealingTech team not only as our guests, but as valued partners. We are well on our way to laying the foundations for the future we aim to build together for Romania,” says Cristian Ghimfus, STARC4SYS General Manager.
Strengthening Interoperability in Romania and Beyond
Bolstering our allies’ defense capacity is on everyone’s minds. Recently, Gen. Christopher Donahue, commanding general of US Army Europe and Africa discussed how the Army is transforming in Europe, training with allies, and working with industry to advance and scale next-generation capabilities. Similarly, SealingTech’s partnership with STARC4SYS is also helping to enhance next gen defensive cyber capabilities by establishing a bilateral defense along with an open channel of communication.
“We’re proud to be a part of this strategic partnership with STARC4SYS and truly believe in Romania’s role in shaping the future of cybersecurity and defense. We deeply appreciate their commitment to advancing innovation and security in the region,” says Justin Hunsaker, SealingTech’s Principal Solutions Architect.
Saunders adds, “SealingTech is excited for what the future holds in working with a pivotal leader like STARC4SYS to create an even stronger and more robust combined front against global cyberattacks. We look forward to meeting more quality partners who are equally committed in Europe, the Middle East, and in other US partner regions to further enhance global cybersecurity and strengthen interoperability.”
